This imagery is now available via HaitiCrisisMap.
http://haiticrisismap.org/?zoom=10&lat=18.58137&lon=-72.38771&layers=basephoto&editlayers=138
The imagery is available for use in OpenStreetMap:
JOSM WMS URL:
http://hypercube.telascience.org/cgi-bin/mapserv?map=/geo/haiti/mapfiles/4326.map&layers=google-21-sub10k-4326,google-21-above10k-4326&request=GetMap&version=1.0.0&styles=&format=image/jpeg&service=WMS&
Potlatch Tile URL:
http://hypercube.telascience.org/tiles/1.0.0/goog-20100121-900913/!/!/!.jpg
For other WMS clients (QGis, ArcGIS, etc.) this data is available via:
http://hypercube.telascience.org/cgi-bin/mapserv?map=/geo/haiti/mapfiles/4326.map
To get the data, both the "google-21-sub10k-4326" and "google-21-
above10k-4326" layers should be included. Unlike previous layers, this
WMS layer is optimized, and there should be no significant performance
concerns. (This will be added to other layers in the future.)
The URL above shows the imagery integrated into the "Haiti-best"
basemap, with a sketched overlay of the coverage.
(If someone on the OSM-talk list could forward this email there, I
would appreciate it.)
