I intended to raise this on the newbies list ages ago but didn't get round to it.
But now it's showing up in Port au Prince which is much more serious.
See
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=18.546994&lon=-72.274731&zoom=18&layers=B000FTFTTTT
for example.
Landuse=residential covers up most of the data, I can no longer examine the refugee camps or streets by selecting Data from the + layer selection. Because I am a mapper I can go into edit mode and look but our users can't.
This is serious. What am I missing? Or should we beg mappers not to use landuse=* until renderers correctly put this as the bottom layer?
Someone, tell me I'm wrong please.
Adrian.
