Hi,

You messed up nothing. The railway is unmodified [1]. ;-)

There's a way labeled bridges=yes not too far awafrom the railway [way]. 
(~ a few meters)

(The nodes in the railway=rail way are a bit far apart, so if you zoom 
in too much/download too small an area, the server doesn't return 
them... adding nodes closer together in a way "fixes" this... )
