Map in Hungarian language

Hi Ferenc,

many thanks for testing. I am aware of the slowness and not happy with
it either ;-). Therefore, I have not made the hungarian layer as
default layer. I thought the new coded search function which returns
result categories and result names in Hungarian might be also nice and
should perform much better with standard base layers like Mapnik.
Anyway, I have enable mod_expires (access plus 4 weeks for tiles)
which hopefully improves client side caching. I know that this is just
a prototype and there are three other bottlenecks
- the tiles are rendered at my home server which has only 2.5MBit
upstream
- the Postgres database for Europe is 108GB. So rendering highly
depends on disk IO. A dedicated SSD disk would improve it much but is
very expensive. You know before OSM.org switched to a SSD disk raid,
they had "more OSM coming soon" tiles, which I don't have and don't
want to have
- the server-side tilecache is also on a standard disk. Having a
dedicated SSD disk for the tilecache would also increase speed.

fyi: The import style is customized osm2pgsql schema. Due to the
customisation it is not possible to apply updates.

If someone has access to a server with very fast disks, high bandwidth
and want to run the map, I would be happy to help with
installation ;-)
