Szerintem is ez a logikus.
A brand valóban nem szerepel a
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Datm
oldalon, de a
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dbank
oldalon igen, szóval nem igazán konzisztens az OSM wiki.

brand=* the brand of the bank (e.g. Deutsche Bank)
operator=* to define which company the branch belongs to (e.g., Deutsche 
Bank AG)
