[OSM-talk-ie] Any details about upcoming talk in heanet?

is not strictly relevant, but gives a few ideas on how to publicise.

Also from the #osm IRC channel I'm informed that some of OSM's most 
active mappers are not necessarily from the geek community - so if we 
can target non-geeks (and maybe GIS or geography types in academia?) 
that would be really good.
