No problems! Some of us are meeting up on Sunday in TOG, if you want in
person help.

Well, how do you define Dublin City Centre? :) When I did my "How to
walk across Dublin without passing a pub" (
http://www.kindle-maps.com/joyce ), I used "the canals" as a 'boundary'.

> Dublin city boundary

We have some of that mapped. We have a relation here :
http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1109531#map=12/53.3578/-6.2763 But
I don't know if it is totally accurate for Dublin City, since it
includes the town of Finglas and Finglas has it's own Fingal County County?

> Dublin wards

I don't think we have much (any?) of that mapped in OSM, I think?

> Dublin postcode districts

We have attempted to map the postal districts. Obviously, it's hard to
know for sure what the actual boundaries are.

You can see some here:

We're mapping historic boundaries (like baronies and townlands), and
I've made a site for showing them off, which includes daily shapefile
dumps of the features. Here's a shapefile of all the counties:

Some of those links are for the raw OSM data, depends how handy you are
with processing that to shapefiles. What's your skill level in that regard?

You can download just the OSM data in (Island of) Ireland from here:
http://download.geofabrik.de/europe.html

BTW, do you know about the meet up in Dublin on Sun 25th?
http://www.tog.ie/2014/05/open-street-map-hack-day-2/ Feel free to come
along and chat about this in person.

Rory
