Just to answer some points you made:

Regarding historical maps, I agree, but there are more sources than the
OSi, e.g. local councils and universities being the 2 major ones.

Regarding the bus stops, I think someone looked at this before. Transport
for Ireland likely have this data and if I recall they were willing to
release it to us but there may have been some issue with the data. I stand
open to correction this of course, but I think that may be why something
like this was not imported. Others on this list may have a better memory of
it.
