hi,
looks like we have a fair number of warm bodies all over India - how about 
SOTMI-2009? State Of The Map in India. I can offer Ooty as the venue - great 
place for mapping, trekking, cycling, fishing, golfing ... we could have it 
some time in the first quarter of 2009. (My idea is that if we can build up a 
community, we may be in the position to host SOTM in maybe 2010 or 2011.

given the numbers, sponsors would not be difficult to find.
