I agree with the need for a grass  key as they are found in all kinds of
places right from grazing pastures, to sports grounds to office/home lawns.

I am ok with the need categories suggested except for 'shaven' as it
signifies absence of grass. Instead of it cant' we use leisure=pitch ?

We also need to consider the landuse=meadow and its usage in relation to
what is proposed.

Yes shades of green would do good? Can we also have pixel density as another
variant so the we can signify grasslands with lesser dense green pixels and
use high density of green pixels for say something lawn.
