by repeatedly taking tracks, also by checking out tracks with known
accuracy. I once put two instruments on my car, one on the left and one
on the right - and got two parallel tracks approximately the width of
the car in distance from each other. I also checked it against the
measurements of the 7lakh rupee instrument that the forest department
uses.
