I have found that a bluetooth gps data logger + my phone with
gpsmid<http://gpsmid.sourceforge.net/>is a very powerful combo. Since
gpsmid allows audio tagging, photo tagging,
osm editing and maps with routing, i really dont need an expensive device
with any of these features.
The holux M241 which i have been trying out (borrowed from srikanthlogic)
serves the purpose beautifully. The accuracy is awesome, has a display to
get some useful info and since it uses AA, its convenient while travelling.
Rechargeable ones also work fine although it runs only for 4 hours compared
to 8 hours on alkaline.
The only issue i have with the visiontac is the inbuilt battery. Since i
travel a lot, often without access to a recharging point, this would not be
very handy.
