[Talk-is] Islets south of Grindavík

Well, there's a few more, but none others as big as any of those that I know.
[1] I just had a look around my map collection, and I've found these specks:

But, they could possibly be specks of dust on the original scan. (Blame LMÍ)
I've got another map that has an obvious hair in the sea, so it's definitely
possible.

http://is.beeroclock.net/~karl/osm/possible-islets-off-grindavik_zoom_snip.PNG
shows the same cluster at the native zoom of the map. The only reason I bring
it up are that the "big" one is coloured the same as the land, not just a black
speck.

However, it's not coloured the same way as any islets in breiðafjörður, or
anywhere else, so I really would lean to smudges on the original scan.

Possibly the islets you found tagged were generated by an auto finder?

http://is.beeroclock.net/~karl/osm/not_same_location_islet.png Shows another
"islet" in the area, but it's not the same location as the other snippet.

Unless someone wants to go for a sail, I say exterminate them :)

First two map snippets from VisIT, Iceland 1:250k, dated 1999
Third snippet is from VisIt, Iceland 1:750k, dated 1945

None of the other maps I have cover that area.

Cheers,
Karl P

[1] There's also islets off Vík, off Jökulsárlón, (Hrollaugseyja and Tvísker)
and some off Hestgerðir, between höfn and jökulsárlón. But yeah, none of them
are of any meaningful size.
