[Talk-is] Rendering with SRTM

Hi,

does anybody know how to render a map with SRTM data of Iceland? I was 
looking around but did not find anything. I know there were some 
discussions before about the SRTM data on the list.

Which program and which data is needed and how?

I tried Kosmos and Groundtruth but the download does not work because 
Iceland is not in the NASA SRTM data. What a shame!

Any other ideas? I remember (but can not find it) that Ævar did write 
something about that sometime ago. Some scripts to render if I remember 
correctly.
