[Talk-it] Shielded tracks (Fortmer: Data Only GSM Chip)

Thanks Martin and other,

Especially My wife and I are going for hiking in Toscany. On OSM we find 
some tracks sourced by CAI. This seems to be a hiking organisation.
What can we expect? Are there books or leaflets descibing those trails? Are 
they signed with shields on the track?

Can anybody tell me more about this?

just is case you are not yet aware of it, in Italy there is quite nice
aerial imagery covering the whole country, from 2006, and covering
Umbria and Lazio from 2008. To add them into JOSM, have a look here:

This imagery is available in quite good resolution (you should have a
scale around 50m indicated in JOSM in the scale bar when you start
downloading it for full resolution), but in urban agglomerations
inferior to Bing in terms of resolution (in the countryside it is
generally better). The georeferencing is generally seen to be very
reliable and well done, so I encourage you to use this imagery instead
of bing or yahoo!.
