[Talk-lb] Question about isolating road types in different layers

Hi,

I have a Lebanon.osm data file, and when I load it in JOSM, I get the whole data (roads, borders, names etc...) on one layer... 

So I am wondering if with a specific tool or program I can isolate every road type on a specific layer so I can later save every layer in a different shapefile format?

Is there a way to do this?
