[talk-lu] Naming conventions for street names

Good evening everybody,
As I'm currently mapping the streets in the commune of Steinsel (with the
approval of their "Service technique") and also (re-)naming them, I was
wondering whether the OSM Luxembourg project did already have naming
conventions in place. The only indication I could find was: "The labeling
of Administration des ponts et chaussées <http://www.pch.public.lu/> should
be considered. For the main roads the following convention is used:" (at
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject_Luxembourg/Roads)
As The PCH and the ACT use slightly different naming methods in their
publications, I was wondering if we could agree on the same convention that
the French project uses:
"Utilisez la *casse mixte* avec la première lettre de chaque mot écrite en
capitale"
I would like to add to this to exclude words from this rule like "des",
"de", "à", …
Do you think this would be a good rule, if so I would start to update the
streets I come across and we could all adjust the current street names to
this scheme.
Regards,
Sven
