Hi,

I have heard of the overpass API, but I never have considered installing 
it. I know GDAL/OGR quite well and hacking a web interface around it was 
just a matter of a few hours. I must admit osm2web was designed as a 
resource for OpenLayers Vector layer in mind and not as a general 
purpose tool like the overpass API.

Considering that I don't know much about the other APIs requirements and 
I currently don't have a urgent need for them I will probably not 
install any of the APIs in the near future. However, never say never ;-)
