Hi David,
Great initiative as usual.
There’s 8 more existing trees in https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1691497 <https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1691497>
For the Sequoiadendron giganteum in the city park - probably the biggest two trees in the country - I simply included the tags on both. It would seem pragmatic to do the same on two tree rows.
I can’t think of a “quick” way to retrieve the correct Wikipedia page. You could indeed check if the pages contain coordinates and try to find stuff nearby, there wouldn’t be a license issue. You could then try to conflate the leftovers by tree type and/or locality. However I imagine that with 66 wikipedia pages, the quickest would be to do it all manually.
