Okay, went back this afternoon to redo the area at the beginning of
the Haarlemmerstraat; my data from Saturday was just too random.
Unfortunately the new data from today isn't much better... Going to
need a better receiver for this kind of streets (the thing works fine
in areas where the buildings are lower). I thought doing it by foot
would help, which it didn't :p.
For some 'lol, randomness', go here (note: I can't fly):

Purple=me, green=existing data downloaded from the server. So, yeah,
somewhat unusable :D.
At least I did finish fixing up the Brouwersgracht just now. The bit
parallel to the Haarlemmerstraat looked like it was trying to move in
and merge with the Haarlemmerstraat. D: You can still see that in the
before-after images.
The following is a FYI in case someone wants to do work on this area:
I think there is something fishy about the Herenmarkt:
1.
First of all, there's a street (a 'way') called 'Herengracht' that
leads away from the Haarlemmerstraat and crosses the Brouwersgracht.
This is partly incorrect; the way between the H'lemmerstraat and
Brouwersgracht is called 'Herenmarkt'.
2.
Worse: the way that should be named 'Herenmarkt' is connected (via a
bridge) to the wrong way named 'Herengracht'. There are two ways
called 'Herengracht' (one on either side of the canal), and the
Herenmarkt is connected to the wrong Herengracht. Note that when I say
'Herenmarkt' I mean the one that is nearest the Singel (there is
another one parallel to it, together they enclose a playground).
I still mean to fix this, but I know that in the next two weeks I
won't have the time or hardware to do it. If anyone wants to fix this
part before I get to it, feel free to ask for details or a drawing if
the above is unclear or something.
Anyways, Saturday was fun, probably until (a) next time!
regards,
Sjoerd
PS. Long post. Oops.
