Hi Amrit,
        There is a lot that you can do to contribute to OSM and the most
importantly you can contribute mappings. For your reference:

  * Map features recognized within OSM,
    http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Map_Features
  * JOSM, the standalone map editor client, http://josm.openstreetmap.de/
