Hi Chris,
At this moment we have only the blog posts available. You can check our SOTM presentation where is explained a little bit more how we did the tagging part: https://2018.stateofthemap.org/2018/T115-Large_Scale_Deep_Learning_for_Map_Making/
The detection that you found is indeed incorrect. What you need to do is to select the detection and click the incorrect button(cmd+down).
If a detection is correct you need to select the detection in the photo an click the correct button.
In the bar you have listed all the detections available for your track. To go through the detections you can select a detection in the bar and go to the next one using the right arrow.
Hope this helped and if you have any other question, please let me know.
Br,
Horea

Hi Martijn,

Is there some help available, or is it just the blog posts? As an example, in this shot https://openstreetcam.org/details/1345577/20/detections<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fopenstreetcam.org%2fdetails%2f1345577%2f20%2fdetections&c=E,1,Vq5fNfQat1y0DCAQt4PdqkCW32c4ckTN04rKBOCJturatGLfI2x7oAWj14lckriqOm0AWi_j1gE7pRAD5A-g08Yvfgma1QkW5HVRzlldAzc,&typo=1> a billboard has been detected. The detection says "Signpost", which this is, but has a picture of a motorway offramp type of signpost, which this is not. I can't find any documentation on the website explaining how to correctly mark signs. Or for that matter on a shortcut key to jump to the next detected sign.

thanks,

chris

Hi all,

You will remember from my previous messages to this list that OpenStreetCam held a competition to collect imagery in New Zealand (as well as in Australia). The winners have received their gift cards, but the community as a whole gains as well. Our map team used the contributed imagery to generate a large enough training set for our sign detection platform to learn 35+ (and growing) New Zealand-specific sign types. You can use the detected signs to map in JOSM (iD in the future) if you install the OpenStreetCam plugin.

New imagery captured will be analyzed for signs almost immediately. If you go to your own trips you can click on the ‘detections’ tab to see results. Example: https://openstreetcam.org/details/1345577/347/detections<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fopenstreetcam.org%2fdetails%2f1345577%2f347%2fdetections&c=E,1,c0XWuDp-6yfQgPHZJS21BakOOigPbsG2dazd0SqHj9yuJp0B7B5wLhGAOpCxdaGX2q3f8T_wpOhoxyTjEs48KfwbE30Rsy3RIsrfjWCD&typo=1>

Note that none of this data will be added to OSM automatically — it is available for the community to use.

Here’s a blog post with some more detail: http://blog.improveosm.org/en/2019/02/openstreetcam-detect-signs-in-australia-newzealand/<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=http%3a%2f%2fblog.improveosm.org%2fen%2f2019%2f02%2fopenstreetcam-detect-signs-in-australia-newzealand%2f&c=E,1,BGZGtmshhIvBMvXWTMcTqU5firAhHtqXyK2fvXseSt-nIiurcBv9HmgUxEbzrVz3msMa9QLi71iq6DNwp4VVzZ9Ko8W0dm_MxTdT2MNawOOpltDxi7c,&typo=1>

I hope that you will keep contributing to OSC to improve coverage and generate more of this useful mapping data.

Happy mapping,

Martijn
