[Talk-nz] Routing on OSM data in NZ

Hello,

New to this list. 
Been involved in OSM in very light ways for for many years, but not for the past several.

I am looking to do some NZ nationwide spatial analysis that requires reasonably accurate routable streetmap data for the whole country. I would be using pgrouting.
Last I was involved, say 7 years ago, this would have be a big ask of NZ OSM data. How it the OSM data now? Is it up to the task? How would it compare to other available solutions (commercial or otherwise)?
