Hi all,

I want to bring your attention to a project being planned by a group of
mappers in Fiji, many of whom were involved in organising FOSS4G SotM
Oceania 2020: "Building a Resilient OpenStreetMap Community in Fiji
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Humanitarian_OSM_Team/HOT_Microgrants/Community_Impact_Microgrants_2021/Proposal/Building_a_Resilient_OpenStreetMap_Community_in_Fiji>"
[1].

It's a plan to run a series of workshops, mapathons, and field mapping
activities over 2021, with the broad objective of growing a networked
OpenStreetMap community in Fiji, promoting the use of open data like OSM to
the Fiji mapping community and local/regional organisations, and
contributing to disaster preparedness by helping fill in gaps in OSM.

The organising team is going for a HOT Microgrant to cover the costs of
running the project, and endorsements from the regional community would be
very helpful!

If you want to lend a voice of support, please check out the project and
add your endorsement to the wiki...

Thank you!
John
