The sort of values that they chose for the layers suffix make you wonder why they made it that way.  And makes one think maybe other values are possible.  Else, why did they not just make it layer=O, layer=T, layer=M

Not really sure, but these are the most common I encounter, removing
the layers= parameter defaults to the mapnik layer.
