Yeah.  I guess that idea makes sense, but my question still is, are these roads really correctly depicted as 2 ways instead of one?

BTW, central London also looks ugly:

I agree. DO NOT fix the data so that it looks good when rendered. The "bug" is in the presentation layer, not the data layer.

When all else fails, we could always create our own rendering styles.
