FYI,

Compilation is now back to normal.  I'm using the pbf format instead
of the usual OSM xml. The current philippines xml file is ~400 MB
already and my compile machine probably can't cope with the large data
anymore.  A problem I am happy to deal with anyway.

Apologies for the 2-3 days downtime.
