I've seen this somewhat loosely interchanged in some areas.  Ian Lopez
pointed me to this issue as well [0].

landuse=farm - areas used for tillage and pasture (animals,
vegetables, flowers, fruit growing). [1]
landuse=meadow - areas of land primarily vegetated by grass plus other
non-woody plants. [2]

>From the above definitions, they area clearly different.  You can also
add crop=rice for ricefields.  I. e. landuse=farm, crop=rice.
