Hi Ilya,

It's good to have some people coming to Portugal to do some mapping ;-)

As I'm not in the country, I can't welcome you but we've already met at the SOTM-EU, on Saturday night we were eating at the same table. So it's good to hear from you engaging the portuguese community.

The country is small and so are the community, but we are great people :-)

Personaly I've managed to do 2 meetings in Portugal on August to celebrate OSM's birthday.
It's not always easy as the members are far away from each other but it's something I encourage you to try.
If Victor is available (I hope is listening) you'll be able to do a meeting in Lisbon.
For all the people near Lisbon I'll recomend going to such informal meeting, it's always good to have some "outsider" view/discussion and Ilya is a well known OSM international member.

And in your way to Porto, if you want to stop in some city (for example Coimbra or Aveiro), it will make some other portuguese member less jealous ;-)

I'm very interested in this live radio stuff, could you give us some more details ?

Hi! I'm Ilya Zverev from Russia, editor of shtosm.ru and sometimes
a mapper. From 29 Dec to 3 Jan I'll be in Lisbon, and then I'll be
travelling to Sintra and Porto. Do portugese mappers meet in person?
It would be great to meet OSM members and discuss the country,
the project and the community.

Also I will be doing live radio on 7th of January (8-9 pm) in Porto,
and maybe we can make it together with somebody local.
