Hi Eric,
About a year ago a lot of businesses started being added to OpenStreetMap,
many not actually having a physical presence at the location, and they all
had bit coin tags. It turns out people were adding their business to the
OSM database just to get them on a bit coin map. That promoted OSM, but the
users that added non-physical businesses needed to be kindly explained it
wasn't appropriate.

It's worth baring that in mind. However, as you are doing it is good to
clarify with the user the intention and type of property. Adding extra tags
for clarification would good. Also explaining that most people are unlikely
to look at some of those tags, so it's probably better for him to ensure
his property is on accommodation listing sites and for OSM to ensure the
surrounding map POIS (shops, amenities) are up to date so people can see if
it's an area they want to live in.
