From J.Greiler na fh-kaernten.at Mon Sep 16 14:21:01 2024 From: J.Greiler na fh-kaernten.at (Greiler Julian Simon) Date: Mon, 16 Sep 2024 14:21:01 +0000 Subject: [Talk-si] Import of Karawanken/Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark Message-ID: Dear Community! As I am working in a scientific Project concerning tourism and visitors within protected areas, I need different protected area boundaries within OSM, because most data is based on the open street map (yeah!). During my work I noticed, that some of the boundaries I got from my project partners do not fit with the ones provided by OSM and some are missing completely. As I am new to editing OSM and working with JOSM, I do not want to make a mess within the map (as I probably did with my first attempt... I'm sorry). Therefore I tried to follow the rules and send you my OSM wiki documentation: Import/Catalogue/Karawanken/Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark - OpenStreetMap Wiki As the original data is from OSM or selfmade, the licence agreements are clear. The Dataset includes the boundaries of the Geopark including following Tags: boundary=protected_area protect_class=6 name:de=Karawanken UNESCO Global Geopark name:sl=Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark name:en=Karawanken/Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark protection_title= UNESCO Global Geopark website= email= source=OSM type=import description=Import of [Geopark Name] boundary, merged from Austrian and Slovenian municipal borders In hope of a fruitful discussion and a positive reaction, Best Regards Julian -------------- naslednji del -------------- HTML priponka je prečiščena... Sadly I couldn't find any useful, authoritative web page on https://www.unesco.org/en/iggp/geoparks Instead of name:en=Karawanken/Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark this should be put into the main name: name=Karawanken/Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark How is the area defined? If it is a list of municipalities they could be added to the same relation. with the role of a subarea. br, Stefan On Mon, Sep 16, 2024 at 4:25?PM Greiler Julian Simon < J.Greiler na fh-kaernten.at> wrote: > Dear Community! > > > > As I am working in a scientific Project concerning tourism and visitors > within protected areas, I need different protected area boundaries within > OSM, because most data is based on the open street map (yeah!).
