A shared taxi rank is a rank for taxis that can be shared by 
passengers paying separate fares.  It was provided for in legislation 
but there has not been much uptake.  I created 2 or 3 of these in 
Blyth, Northumberland when I was employed there several years ago but 
I don't see them there any more in NaPTAN.

I suggest for now you would be safe just regarding these as ordinary 
taxi ranks.
