There is very accurate bus stop location data available in the NaPTAN
feed, accurate in theory to 1 meter or so. If you look at the bus
stops on Google Maps for the Uk, then the positions for these are from
NaPTAN. The street name, landmark and cross street fields are a bonus
and might allow us to add names to streets that are missing them, or
to add points of interest from the 'landmark' field.
I will try to get some more time on the wiki later in the week, but it
others want to keep going on it then so much for the better.
Check out a couple of screenshots on my Flickr site. All the bus stop
positions on these maps are from NaPTAN.
