There are 7,025 nodes in the address point shp file for Bedford.
366 or 5% of Bedford nodes have the attribute POINT_TYPE=PC which should
not be imported because
they have nothing to do with buildings. Most are placed at the centroid of
openspace land, often on each parcel that was acquired to create the
conservation or park land. There are 45 address nodes on the Bedford
portion of Great Meadows NWR. Town owned lands like well fields, sports
fields, the dump, the loop found at the end of some roads also have PC
nodes.
I did find one node close to a house which appeared to be an error.
The massgis definition of POINT_TYPE=PC is "Address multipoint represents a
Parcel Centroid (no structure, vacant parcel)"
