Once you "import a layer into OSM directly" you have cross into "doing
an import". Because of this I don't want to send anybody an osm-format
file of the whole layer. Although it's pretty easy to make yourself.
If iD can load a geojson file as a background layer, then this should be
doable. But I don't really use iD. I think josm can do this, but it
can load shapefiles.

The OSM way is that data that's mostly ok is an improvement and then
making it more accurate can be done later. As long as the quality is
good enough that people won't say 'not having it would be better'. A
tough line to draw sometimes.

Great - just wanted to give the caution in case.
I got your changeset link - that's good enough. I'll have a look at
pulling the stream later.
