Railfans are reporting on FB [0] & YouTube [1] that the Grafton & Upton
line was used to move trainsets for repair - and that it is once again
connected between Hopedale and Milford. I have added a Note to the Map [2]
(alas I forgot to hit Log In first). From the railfan video and land
clearances visible on copyright (=can't use it) imagery that the switch
likely will be on Milford Branch between S. Cedar St and Depot St. Existing
rail ways [3] & [4]. I note the Milford Secondary way [4] is part of
Milford Branch relation. G&U [3] should probably have a Relation too?

(I'll bet the Pheasant Run Apartments residents are just thrilled to have a
live rail in the back yard again.)

The video's caption gives this history

> FIRST TRAIN SINCE 1983 The MBTA, having signal work done on the Worcester
> Line, utilized the Grafton & Upton's 16 Mile line to detour from Grafton to
> Milford to get two sets of equipment to Boston for repairs. The first
> number of photos are of the train traversing the Grafton & Upton Line
> (Independent since 1873) between Upton and Milford then utilizing the newly
> rebuilt connection at Milford. The Hopedale to Milford stretch of the G&U
> was just recently put back in service after 37 years making this one of the
> first moves to traverse that segment of line. Once at Milford the train
> entered the lightly use former New Haven line and proceeded to Boston via
> the Franklin Line. This was the first time a train used this connection
> since 1983 and the first time in many years that passenger equipment
> traversed the Hopedale to Milford segment of the G&U. It is also the first
> train in decades the traverse the entirety of the Grafton & Upton Line
> because it utilized both the B&A connection at Grafton and the Ex-New Haven
> connection at Milford.
