[Talk-us-massachusetts] GPS Data Logger Recommendation?

Let us suppose, hypothetically, that I wanted some kind of GPS-based
device to carry with me as I go for walks on local trails, and then get
the .gpx file (or equivalent) out to use in iD, with good enough
accuracy that doing so would be useful for me to map where I've walked,
and I wanted to spend less than $100 or so on it. Are there any
recommendations out there?

I've looked at the wiki page
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/GPS_device_reviews> and honestly
there are so many options and the table looks to go back for a very long
time that I'm not sure what there is still actually useful or what it's
telling me about what features to look for.

I also did a quick search on Amazon for "gps data logger", but there are
a wide array of products and prices there, and again I'm not sure what
features I'm actually looking for (or if Amazon is really the best
retailer to be looking at).

Thanks for any suggestions you might have,
Peter
