Yes, it really is that exciting.  The publication date is yesterday.

I just got MassGIS's newsletter ("GISette") and they announced a new
LIDAR layer which is for central/eastern captured in Spring of 2021, and
has best-available for other places.

The 2021 capture has 0.5m x 0.5m cell size, and 0.1m vertical
resolution, up from 1m x 1m with 1m vertical for most areas (at least
western Middlesex) before.

I added this and then the old LIDAR, and then by clicking the new one
on/off could see the difference.   Stone walls are *vastly* clearer, as
are many other things.
