OK, I think I'm getting it now.  The tag defined as addr:tigeraddr:right
means on the right side, in terms of ascending address order, not in terms
of the way direction.  Correct?

Other than being slightly vague at first, I can see how it could work
acceptably.  

It seems like we would have to make sure that these address nodes are NEVER
used as intersection nodes, because then they become ambiguous as to which
way they are referring to.  How would we enforce that?

(I personally still like the Karlsruhe schema better, but that's just my
opinion.)
