[Talk-us] Is there a solution to Yahoo WMS poor image quality?

As is well known apparently, at some point in the last couple of months,
the Yahoo imagery available through WMS became pixelated and difficult to
use at zoom levels high enough to trace individual streets.

Today, I tried to clip, reference, and rectify a small section of imagery
from Yahoo maps via Geothings, but it would seemingly take "forever" to do
this over any significant area.

1. If I were to find a way to do this in a more automated fashion, is it
"legal" to use Yahoo Maps or are we limited only to using imagery available
through WMS?

2. Is there a better solution (in places where USGS urban imagery is not
available)? Is anyone working on one?
