Hi Y'all,

 From my examination of the map, it appears that TIGER water is not 
imported into the map.

Is anyone working on a wide-scale water import from a superior dataset? 
  If so, what I say below might still apply, but with the other data set.

I don't have experience with OSM bulk imports, and probably can't do one 
myself until next year.  But...I do have a setup now where I can:

- Detect conflicts between the TIGER water data and already-existing OSM 
water data.

- Compare total water coverage of tiled areas, comparing GlobCover 
(raster data, a baseline), existing OSM and TIGER.

If someone is interested in doing a water import, perhaps I could use 
this setup to help deal with conflicts, e.g. filter out or specially tag 
TIGER water that would conflict with existing imports, based on 
geometric criteria.
