Hi Everyone!

I wanted to send out a reminder to all the mappers around the Atlanta, Georgia area (and all the folks coming in from out of town) that the Atlanta Mapathon on October 16-18 is quickly approaching. Check out the wiki for all of the event details and locations. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Atlanta_Citywide_Mapathon

The Mapathon Headquarters will be located on the 3rd floor of Central Library in the heart of historic downtown Atlanta. Central Library is going to be the best place to come if you are interested in mapping the historic sites, tourist attractions, shopping/restaurant districts and city parks that Downtown Atlanta is known for. The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System has also generously provided space for us to meet in 10 other branches around Atlanta so community groups and neighborhood associations can map their communities. There will be plenty of work space and FREE WIFI at all the locations so bring your laptop! The Mapathon locations will be open from 12:00 - 5:00 PM on Saturday, 10/17 and 2:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, 10/18.

This event is going to be a lot of fun. There is a ton of excitement about OSM and the Mapathon within the Atlanta area. We're expecting a great crowd made up of OSM members, non-profit groups, university clubs and local business associations, plus lots of newbies and people who are curious about the project. I hope to see many of you there as well!

Best,
Thea
