Well, in context of the thread that spawned this particular question,
the ref= and network= for the route would be 169 and US:US, but the ref
of the way itself would be 169-72-83 east of the east side of the
overpass over Memorial Drive, and TR-72-98 west of that same location.
Memorial Drive starting with the connector ramps on the north side of
the underpass going south would be 64-72-06 and north of that location
would have no reference.
