juat to let you know,
there is an #osm-us irc chat room on oftc.net which is open for use.

 this is a great form of national communication, where questions can
be answered in real time, and irc meeting can also be schedualed here.


im in the room on auto-join and happy to help out where needed to
share experiences so mistakes arnt repeated that much.
