Yep. It's happened a lot with UK cycle routes. It seems less common than it
once was, but we had a case last week in which the National Cycle Network
route 5 relation was wiped out, again with JOSM. I'm afraid I don't use JOSM
enough to know what the problem might be, but have flagged it up to the
developers several times.
