One thought - would you consider putting .zips of single files up there
rather than of seven at once?

Potlatch 2 will happily load single .osm files into a "vector background
layer" straight from the server, so that users can bring data in for their
town, way-by-way.

I reckon I can fix it so it'll load .osm.zip as well as just .osm (if the
standard 'deflate' compression is used), but loading a single .osm from a
.zip containing several is difficult both in terms of code and UI.
