[Talk-us] What does the community want from a US local chapter?

To take this thread in completely different direction...
I would like to see just a little bit of "official" legalese posted
somewhere that I can point to when I go to contact someone about using
data in OSM. Specifically I'm thinking about local/state governments
that I have contacted and asked for permission or clarification on
their licensing terms. As a new mapper I wasn't even really aware of
all the implications of what I was asking about. It would be nice to
have an "official" US specific page to point people to with a *brief*
overview of licensing issues and such. It's great that OSM is a
contributor driven project but sometimes people I'm interacting with
have trouble understanding this concept and think I'm some legal
representative of OSMF or something so having some kind of "So you've
been contacted by a mapper. What does this mean?" page might be nice.
