Richard,

Thanks for your reply and advice.  I like your outline, and will probably
use some variation of it. I want to highlight bicycling and hiking trails
in OSM because I believe that will be of particular interest to an audience
from this part of the country. The other thing about this part of the
country is that we have a lot of small GIS businesses.  If I can make more
of the people that own and work at those businesses aware of OSM, then they
will hopefully use it in their products, and promote it to their clients.

I have given one talk on OpenStreetMap, but it was an hour of interactive
demos, so this will be quite different.  I am a member of a local
Toastmasters Club, which has helped me improve my public speaking, and
taught me the importance of preparation.  Even before your message I was
planning on starting preparation early.
