Wow, this is starting to look good.  I mapped the tracks around Eastern North Carolina but there is still much to do.  I wonder if anyone has any information on Norfolk Southern or CSXT lines in North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland that I could use to help determine main lines versus branch lines.
