OSM Wiki at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:maxweight#Examples <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:maxweight#Examples> proposes to use:
maxweight=8 st
maxweight:hgv_articulated=12 st
maxweight:hgv:conditional=16 st @ (trailer)

This seems reasonable to me, but I wanted to check is it correct.
